What is Builder Gel?
Builder gel is used as a base coat when you want to create thickness, length or add strength to the nail. It’s much stronger than regular gel polish base coats, and the formula is a much thicker consistency to a normal base coat. Gel polish is applied as a thin layer of polish for color and shine after the builder gel application. When the builder gel begins to grow out, I infill just like I would with acrylic, or remove the set and apply another straight away – providing the nails are still in good condition. What are Acrylic Nails?
Acrylic nails are applied by mixing a liquid (monomer) and powder (polymer) to create a paste, which is then applied to the natural nails. The mixture is then sculpted and shaped over a form or on the natural nails. The nails are then filed and shaped to the desired length and shape. Acrylic is hard wearing and less prone to chipping. What is a Gel Manicure / Pedicure?
A gel polish manicure is a manicure that uses a soft gel in the form of polish. Gel nail polish is painted on and cured with a UV light to help lock it in place for long-lasting wear. So instead of waiting for your nails to dry, you're ready to leave the salon as soon as the last topcoat cures. Time taken - 1hr 15mins
What are Gel - Xtensions?
Gel - Xtensions are a full coverage tip system that is cured onto the nail using a hard gel and a UV system. They are lightweight, durable and perfect for a quick natural extension on the nail. Time taken - 2 hours.
